I think I remember when I did some Flash programming at a camp, Flash let you morph images to another over a certain amount of time. I think Scratch could really use this.

That would be cool, but you could just create multiple costumes and change them really quickly.

Yes, but as I have Adobe Flash CS4 in another window, I looked it up. And as it turns out, you can only have ungrouped drawings morph, not symbols (sprites in Scratch).
@RedRocker227: That can be really difficult, and takes up a HUGE amount of space for long animations and such.
@Rexpup: It would still help. A lot.
@Both: So do you support?

Yes. This would make it easier to create gradual movements. I support
Thanks!

Yes, but a whole new system of sprites and stage managing would need to be implemented. Also, for that there would need to be a keyframing system added as well. That would take thousands of man-hours of programming.

As stated above, Flash has this built in. I think they can use that to recreate it. Anyhow, Flash had to be able to do it somehow...

Yes, Flash has it built in, but Sprites (called Symbols in Flash) cannot use this, and we would have to draw directly on the stage. Only "shapes" can do this and shapes require a keyframing system to appear/dissapear.

You lost me on that last sentence. "Keyframing system"?

"Keyframing system"?
Keyframe is a type of animation, where instead of the normal method of creating hundreds of frames and playing them really fast, you only have a few frames and the computer works out the motion path for you.

Ah, thanks for explaining that!
