top remixed

really, I think that scratch should delete the top remixed on the front page. seriously, creating projects for people to remix and draw a picture just so they can get on the front page? I think that's spam in a way. and also, someone could also remix one of his projects several times to get top remixed.

Re: top remixed

I agree. Then, they could expand the Newest Projects cause each project stays on the page for 3 min

yeah, i know, but people still don't put enough effort into their projects, even if they didn't make projects to get in top remixed.

Re: top remixed

true. Maybe, the system should look over every new project and see if it is worthless. Then, the scratch homepage would be better

Yeah, that should be better.
I'm tired of those "LOL I NEED IDEA HELPHELPHELP" or that a Cat dies or basic picture, etc.

Yea. People shouldn't spam like that. Then, the server would crash with too many projects like that. Right?

It would work, but someone would have to be on all the time to look at all the projects because it would be hard to make it check automatically.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

How would it work though? If it just checked the number of scripts you could add a whole lot of pointless scripts in...

Re: top remixed

yeah it is pointless cause i just got on top remixed because im making lots of versions of my new game

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Ugh. I meant like check the whole project and look if it has violent stuff and stuff that is bad.

well technically effort could be put into something just it wouldn't be very good

This is a begginer site, so if we were to delete the "useless" projects, there would be a lot of dejected feelings about. Also complications with the automated delete, how would it be able to tell? someone's maste piece could dissapear with a error and then that person would think the her/his project was worthless, when truely, thats how people learn. Progressively. So, I am against it.

no, not to delete them, just don't put them on the front page in newest projects.
