Hi Scratch Team,

Do you have people who are (currently) translating the web-site in Dutch?

Whether the answer is yes or no, does not really matter I suppose... either way, I would like to volunteer to help out.

Let me know how I could be of assistance.

Cheers,

Gijsbert

Dear Gijsbert,

Thank you for your offer to help with the website Dutch translation.  The website translation process is at a halt right now as major updates are being done to the website.  However, as soon as the website translation is back on track, I will email you with the directions on how to proceed.  This will hopefully be in a few short weeks.

Thank you very much for your offer!
Sincerely,
Evelyn

The Scratch website is currently only hosted in English.
However, in the next few months we hope to add support to translate the Scratch website to more languages.

If you are interested in helping out with this translation in the future, please post to this forum thread.

Re: Translating the Scratch Website

Hello,
The word "Social Media" on the top page of Scratch web site is translated as "Somalia" in many locale settings. I checked Japanese, Korean and Simplify Chinese. I also checked Japanese default.po file on the translation server. There is no entry of "Social Media" and "Somalia" means "Somalia" correctly. So I think some setting is wrong on the web site.
I tested IE6 and FF3.5.7 on Windows XP SP3.
Thank you.

As far as I'm aware, you can't unfortunately  hmm

The text in a project depends on what the creator types in, and Scratch doesn't have the power to translate it.

Oh. That's too bad. It's always fun for me when I see something by people in other countries. That's why I created the Scratch Pen Pals gallery.

Re: Translating the Scratch Website

Hi, I speak Japanese.

I noticed that on the Japanese Scratch Webpage, where it's supposed to say "Donate", it says "Download". Donate is written like this in Japanese: 寄付する

I made sure with my mom (who's Japanese) that this is correct.

What. This isn't about the topic, but I'm curious to how you're part of the Scratch team if you don't have Scratch Team as your status?
