I feel sorry for all of the people who lost their lives, but i'm disappointed in America for discriminating the Muslims just because Osama was Muslim.
Why can't America be smart for once?
Fun fact: Everyone knows Bush took an hour to send out the signal. But guess what he was doing in the meantime. He was reading to Booker Elementary students. He completely IGNORED the secret service telling him something happened.
Yup.

But with all due respect, I guess we did take it a bit far.I don't think so. Those 2 comments were really mean.
I said a bit far. Still a terribly insensitive thing to say.

Yeah, I remember that.

Guys, stop the flaming, or I'll have to report this thread.

It's because so many people are so unsure, or have the wrong idea, that we discriminate muslims. I don't despise the jihadis, I'm just very sad that they feel the only way to bring religious unity is through war.

No, really.

Play 'Still Alive' backwards and listen HARD. My opinion is in there about Bush.

Me and my dad saw it in real life, from the roof of our apartment building.
But I was only 3 and don't remember it, though.
I remember a dream, however, that was likely based on that. A giant dustball, bigger than our house, fell out of the night sky and started rolling towards our house.
Offline
I think I was at home when it happened... I remember seeing it on TV when I was five, then asking my parents about it. One of my dad's friends was actually in one of the twin towers when it happened
I asked my dad about it again today, and this is what he said:
"He says he heard screaming then a loud crash, then he ran down the stairs and got five blocks away, looked back, and saw them fall. But I think was on the 60th floor and not the 70th where it happened..."
That must have been insanely scary... I probably would have froze and not been able to move at all. To the firefighters who saved the people: You are true heroes! To the people who lost someone because of 9/11: I'm sorry for your loss... It really is a shame that happened. :<

Guys, seriously, just because AnimeCreatorArtist was being disrespectful does not give you the right to be disrespectful back, so stop the flaming. As for the talk about Bush, what the heck would you have done if you were the president of the United States and one of the largest terrorist attacks ever planned had just happened? It's not his fault it happened, and it's not his fault it wasn't stopped.

They were mean, but you wear talking it to far. He was just saying that the planes flying into the towers looked cool. He's not saying that he was glad 9/11 happened.

The most horrible day in American history. R.I.P. to all those who died, whether they be those who worked in the World Trade Center, were on the planes, or were a firefighter trying to help out.

As for where I was, I think I was at preschool that day. I don't remember a thing about it for some weird reason.

I see nothing cool about that.

It's a shame that a thread remembering 9/11 has more hate towards one person than sorrow towards thousands...

PLUS ONE.
Seriously, guys. Let's stop the flaming, shall we?
It's been established that 9/11 was a horrible tragedy--words can't even describe it.
Some insensitive things have been said, and some people were offended. That's behind us. This thread isn't about pinning the blame for 9/11 on someone, or making jokes about it. If that's what you want to do, then you probably shouldn't post here.
...That is all.

I was 2 11/12 years old when that happened, and was probably in England at the time. (I lived in England for a year when I was 2-3) It was definitely sad, but I think it would be epic to be one of those US fighter pilots while they're the only thing in the sky. (If I was old enough to join the military on 9/11, I'd be Air Force. There's no way on earth you'd get me as a ground soldier)
Edit: @atomicbawm: I'd have done exactly what he did, invade AFGHANISTAN. Afghanistan was hosting the Taliban, which was supporting Bin Laden. What he did in 2003 was abuse of power, we went into Iraq, basically said "If we don't like your leader, we'll kill him", and made huge anti-America propaganda for Al Qaeda. Now to top it all off, we're responsible for the protection of Iraq and are stuck in there.
Also, I want to know HOW THE [bleeeeep] did Dick Cheney get any power here? He was the VP, and had no right to order USAF planes to fire on unresponsive civilian planes.

Regarding what's happening here in this thread:
In the realm of the internet where many people from many different cultures, ages, and backgrounds exists, it can be hard for some to understand the magnitude of something as tragic like 9/11.
Sometimes it's a good thing to discuss feelings triggered by the event and the events themselves, but be aware that some people are more sensitive to 9/11 others. On a personal level of having gone through the 9/11 event myself (I was in a school whose window offered a partial view of the NYC skyline and direct view of the World Trade Center), thinking back to this event isn't always easy and so it makes me cringe [and perhaps angry] when people take light of what happened on 9/11. I'd imagine it is harder for my friends and classmates who lost family members on that day. So for those who have not been majorly affected by 9/11 - I'd like for you to think before you post. Around 3000 victims died on that day, and thousands more have been traumatized, so be mindful about what you say in here.
Also, please do not forget that this isn't the best place to stir up political debate (so stuff like blaming the president or post 9/11 government decision, etc. is better left for the handful of offsite debate forums floating around on the World Wide Web).
Thanks, and Scratch On.

Quoting sombody I forgot: "The cheddar has spoken."
And yes, 9/11 was very sad. I lived in NY at the time, on a farm. I was 1, so I can't remember it.
Aparently, I was watching elmo, and didn't want to stop. My mom had to pull me away from the TV so she sould watch the news. My grandmother called and told her, and my mother thought my grandmother had lost her mind! When my mother finally got me away from the TV and turned on the news, the second plane hit. She stared at the TV in disbelief, wondering "How the (removed by me) could sombody do this? How do you crash into a building, especialy that big?!" Of course, that was before we knew it was a terrorist attack. She still thinks this shouldn't have happened.
And did anybody hear about the (small) bomb in the parking garage of the WTC (World Trade Center)? It was covered up, so nobody freaked out. It was a year before the attack. We should have been on high alert after that. But we weren't. Why? Ask the president.
That's my thoughts/where I was.

The problem is little kids like you who think everything is a joke. If their plan did come true, we would all be dead or in hiding including you.
You need parental supervision or someone watching over you every minute making sure you don't say something like that.
I you're really sticking with that story, I'd change your previous posts.

Again, please don't stir up political debate here. These forums are not the best place for it.
