You can use run in blocks too. its how you make the BYOB "for i = 1 to 4" block.

yeah maybe simple mode (without the BYOB stuff and maybe other confusing features) or advanced mode (BYOB, CYOB, object oriented programing, ect)

Yes! That's an excellent idea.
BYOB is really cool, but it's so much more buggy than scratch.
