Actually, I normally do play on peaceful.  However, the server I go on a lot  has mobs.

I've always wanted to burn down a village! and with 1.8, i can!  big_smile  After 1.8, everyone will where a pumpkin on their head. Also, isn't Notch adding ravines and river?

Not really. If they were spread out it would still become like this. I think 1.8 will be great.

Although the large brown mushroom looks horrible. And they're way too big. I was thinking more 2^3 size. Although it's be hard for them to look good that small. Maybe even just 1 block size. Just the size of the block instead of way bigger. But I guess big mushroom biomes could be cool.

NPC villages will be cool to raid and stuff. I mean, er, to look at and stuff. I don't get what ravines are. Can someone explain?

@Geo: Lol, not really. Rivers sound awesome. What are strongholds?

@Ipod: Yeah, and what if they have torches in? You could just take them, ruining the survival theme. Then again, that's your choice so it's not really a problem. I suppose it's stupid of me to think it ruins the game to add things like smelting log, and taking from NPC villages since I'm not going to do it. And they'll be rare so you're unlikely to come across them soon, I suppose.

Redstone circuits not working after /time set x glitch going to be fixed in SMP.[7] I couldn't care less, but I guess that's good.

Sprinting will have a drawback, such as depleting your food bar.[60] Just turn it off if it's optional then.
Hitting a mob while "rushing" (sprinting?) sends them flying.[61] I don't care.
Glass Panes.[62] Sounds terrible.
Possibly Spike blocks, Jeb initially considered Spike Pistons, but then pondered making a Spike block that can be pushed by the Sticky Piston.[63] These sound cool.
Arrows will be stuck on mobs when they hit.[64] But what if you hit them between the legs. O.O
Fence Gates.[65] Yay.
Graphics / UI / Audio:
New improved lighting — day/night cycles will not require chunk updates.[66] Lighting will be updated via a texture, whose coordinates are the block's sky light and block light levels.[67]
Warmer light from torches.[68] Warmer????
New texture for Moss Stone.[69] Pff.
Sliders for field of view and gamma in video options.[70][71][72]
Redesigned HUD, including two new features, food and experience bars.[73]

i just saw a pic of a giant mushroom but to me it looked live a bunch of wood stacked to look like a mushroom--but mushroom BIOME????

I thought the towns were going to be made out of cobblestone?
