Egg Dali should have an attack where the Monty Python foot tries to crush you.
BTW, I'm trying to learn NES programming to try and make my own game.

So many ideas... I'll update the level list soon.

Wood Zone - A wood, duh. The background would be a forest with a carving in an occasional [really tall] tree. Essentially, emphasizing a "tribal" feel. The boss would be Eggman with a spinning axe attached. He would fly around and cut down the wooden platforms that you would have to stand on, and the axe would hurt (again, duh.)
Dust Hill Zone: A desert with the occasional small wooden house in the background. Slightly slow banjo music. The boss would be Eggman's flying thing inside a car with two laser six-shooters attached to robotic arms.
These were both in the actual Sonic 2 beta but I'd like to see them done.

Those two are on my most recent level list. Also, (link). The Wood Zone is one of my favorite zones, and so is the Dust Hill Zone.

Fairly soon, but it takes awhile, and I've been on a camping trip.

How do you learn NES programming? Is there a book on NES programming I can use?

No.
And you have to either use assembly (unbearably annoying to write in) or C (takes a long time to learn.)

I'm great in C.

Good.
But C is getting a bit old in my opinion, I like C++ better.

Meh. I'm still used to good-old C in vi. I made this little Asteroids game, and I'm trying to convert it into an Alchemy library to put it on the web. :p

It's a good thing she doesn't have nightmares about Edward Hill.

Yes, it is. Thank you for bumping this. I don't think videogame9 has been online recently.

I might add one, but that's a little bit overused.

Oh, hello.
[/offtopic]
You should make a zone that's more like Spring Yard, and not Casino Night.
Also, the ground in Green Hill looks ugly. You should change the yellow to something that fits the ground. Like dark orange.

So, there are sub-bosses for all non boss levels...Yikes, this will be cool.
What will the sub-bosses be like?

The boss of Basalt, the rocky zone, should dig into the rock.
Boss - Egg Digger
A machine with a huge drill on the end, bigger than the drill on the EHZ boss. It digs into the rock.
