Re: Report bugs in the Flash-Based Scratch Player beta here!

Hi scratch team, thanks for your hard work. I'm new here and I love it.

This may not be a bug, but my latest project runs the way I intended in the off-line version, as well as the Java version, but in the Flash version of this specific project it doesn't work the way I want.

If you take a quick look you will see what I mean:

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/EamonsDad/1962213

Luigi gets to the top of the screen and runs right over the edge without turning. I tried to address this bug by drawing a bolder darker black border, but it still does what it does.

Again, it works the way I intended in the other versions, but not in flash.

Re: Report bugs in the Flash-Based Scratch Player beta here!

You know how when you zoom in on the page, the flash player stays the same, but there becomes a black border around all sides of it except for the top? Well, when you have a draggable sprite, it shows over the black border while dragging, but goes under when not dragging...

If you are having trouble with simple counting, use the following mnemonic device: 1 comes before 2 comes before 5,280 comes before 523,860,759 comes after the square root of -153 comes before π. This will make your previous counting problems seem like no big deal.

well, frankly, i hate it.  if i switch to the new player, then you instantly die on my game, because every broadcast goes off at once.  it is called 2D minecraft, in thunderboys stuff.
Any ideas?

It looks like there is a mismatch on the blue colors being used to color the sky and the blue color of the pick.  I tried changing the sky to white and the game worked okay.  Maybe the blues are too close?  I'm still trying to pin this one down.

I was using my old computer, which is a PowerPC using Tiger.  It really needs updated, I know.  I have a Snow Leopard Intel with Safari 5.0.3, which is what I'm running on right now.

This is an interesting case...it shows an issue with the Flash viewer.  It has been optimized for speed, which means a bunch of things are done before the screen gets updated.  Your project draws to the screen and then does sensing on the drawn lines, all in the same loop.  The workaround is to add a Wait 0 block before the sensing to force the screen to be updated before the sensing takes place.  See my remix at

Why didn't you use the usual "example here" link?

In this project, the sprite doesn't show for some reason.
