Okay, if you're going to call me a nerd or whatever you call people who are super obsessed with stuff, don't bother posting.

Environmentalists are telling scientists not to
'waste earth's resources on stuff we wouldn't use'.

Well, [removed]. I want panels, bot trust, turrets, and combustible lemons! Some people are going to say, "Hey! We don't have that kind of science now!" But I'm 10 now, but maybe when I'm old enough to drink or whatever, 21 I think? Maybe by then or later we'll have Aperture in real life, Portal guns and all.

Aperture is actually something we could see somewhere 20 or 25 years into the future. We may see something similar to Atlas or P-Body marching about the streets, helping young children or the elderly, or just being a friend for someone my age who has busy friends. And maybe someday, we'll all have a turret outside on sentry mode whenever we leave the house, and it will require a card or something to enter the house on Sentry mode.

And maybe, JUST MAYBE, we'll have GLaDOS herself somewhere in a real Aperture.

Discuss. No, I am not crazy. This could end up being real.

Meeting GLaDOS would be cool. An Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device would also be cool. Meeting Atlas and P-body? I'd faint. And having an Aperture Science Sentry Turret would be cool too.

Portal and TF2 addicts are so annoying...

At least minecrafters don't throw out references everywhere. I mean I like portal 2, but this... It's like SPY THIS, GLADOS THAT, LEMONS LEMONS LEMONS

Well, everyone in the 50's thought that we would all have personal androids and flying cars by now, but all we got were cell phones.

We only have cell phones. People didn't understand that you had to take "baby steps" to get new technology. I can't just say, "I am going to build a C3-P0 for real". I have to make a plan, prototype things. Make little models.
People though that a space station was silly, and we should just send people to pluto. Leaps fail. And when they did, people got discouraged, and quit. No flying cars.
Find the Potential: The International Space Station can go to Mars in 3 weeks. It has enough fuel to make a round trip. It is capable of holding food and water for that trip. Then Why, you ask, have we not gone to Mars? Lack of vision. People don't get it.
For these resons, I belive that those technologies will not be real soon.
