a most tagged front page piece

It seems like we have most loved, top viewed, most downloaded, newest, random, and featured as part of front page. Why not most tagged projects? if you agree say something below.

Re: a most tagged front page piece

I would disagree with that. Because why would there be a top tagged? People would tag the project with tags that have to do nothing with the project and it would be harder to search on scratch.

Re: a most tagged front page piece

hadn't thought of that... maybe most individual persons to tag a project?

(don't hurt me)

So you mean most taggers?

There still is not much point to that as tags don't really show how "good" a project is. People may tag a project because they find it good or bad or okay- tags don't really show that a project is worth the front page. Also, the projects that receive the most tags will most likely already be on the front page, because more views means more chances that people will add a tag.

how about most recently tagged projects. Like most viewed. there is not the most viewed project on scratch there always. Just the most recently viewed?

There are no all-time anything categories shown on the front page...still what would the "most tagged" projects show?

I think he means if you click on see more, there is the most ______ project. I really don't know exactly what most tagged project would mean, I just wondering if there is a tag place might as well make use of it.

The tags have a great use. Everytime a revelant tag is added, users will be able to find that project more easily through the search bar.

People can replatedly download their own projects to get to most downloaded. People can repeatedly refresh the project page to get on most viewed.

Re: a most tagged front page piece

I don't think it's a good idea because any random person can get top tagged if they tag it millions of times. Plus, why?

No, it is one view per IP Address (every 24 hours)
No, it is one download per IP Address/Account
The only way to "cheat" right now is creating dummy accounts to love your own projects but there leads to other problems...
