Put it all here I guess since we've been driven out of the thread we were using and I like debating this.
So which is better and why?

I think it depends on what the user is interested in. ^^
You know I'd like to see someone who is both a Harry Potter and Twilight fan to give his/her point of view. Less bias ftw.

But I was talking about that part at the end of Book one. It's one of my favorite Dumbledore quotes.

Harry Potter wins. Twilight is just stupid. Seriously, sparkling vampires? What kind of vampire sparkles? Vampires are supposed to be evil creatures, not weak creatures that are made out of sequins and glitter.

I don't like Twilight either, but maybe it would be better to discuss the actual plot, writing or characters rather than the fact that you don't like the premise.

Yeah, I knew you were referencing that.

Really people. You won't convince someone that your book is better than theirs. True fans will stay fans no matter what others say. I, for one, have not and will not read either.

Harry Potter. The Twilight series is all cult vampire action and has really no story. Harry Potter on the other hand is actually well thought out. Unlike the Vampire Werewolf counterpart...

It's just fun to discuss.
And seriously? What in Merlin's saggy left- I mean what made you decide to not read either.

But but I'm . . . just . . . Edward.
And the whole red thing, even I know he's a vampire.

I know that he's a vampire, but "Yer' a vampire, Edward" or "Yer' a werewolf, Jacob" don't have the same ring.

Although I don't like any of them, Twilight and Harry Potter have nothing in common, except for that fact they're both darkly-themed. This debate is useless. Since when did wizards and vampires go along the same line?
...Just saying.

This is much better place to discuss it.

And just to further explain my point, they're not counterparts. Like I said, they have nothing in common.
