In saltwater it's suicide, in chlorine it just bloodshots and minor discomfort.
I can in chlorine water.
And then CLEAN freshwater doesn't hurt I think.Funny, in saltwater I'm fine. Can't see a thing though; too murky.
Chlorine makes my eyes itch, but I can see a lot more clearly.
I mean, a lot of people can do it. I don't think I know anyone my age who can't.This.
Im the only one my age that cant...

I need glasses, but I do. I don't have goggles, though I would like.
Actually, I only do it after I've been in the water for a little while. After going about a year without swimming, I still have to get used to it again.
If I'm not ready, I can EITHER hold my breath OR open my eyes, but not both.

Anyone can open their eyes underwater. It just matters if it burns and if they can see.

Of course, as long as it isn't sea water, I can do it in any swimming pool.

No, you can pretty much do it anywhere easily as long as it isn't chlorine. We can have salt in our eyes, but it burns afterwards. You can see though.

I can, I just prefer to wear goggles. It stings too much without them.

Yup, goggles are overrated. I started practicing when I first moved to a house with a pool. Now, I'm trying to strengthen my eyesight so it won't be so blurry. It doesn't sting normally, your eyes just feel a bit uncomfortable at first.
