I never said Scratch itself got hacked. I said the ST's email got hacked.

This has been expressed before, but I'll say it just to reinforce the idea: you don't deliberately start a meme. They just happen. Now, there's nothing to stop you from making something you think is amusing and posting it online. If other people like it, it might spread and become a meme, but you can't really go campaigning to have one made.

People start memes by not starting memes.

Ok... they usually start automatically... I know a friend who's been misspelling all his stuff on purpose and calling in kat language or something. He even made a small website on it but it never caught on...

The reason why it never caught on is because it's already been thought up. For example, like Harakou said, lolspeak was invented already, as is Jejemon. If you're not familiar, Jejemon (not be confused with Pokemon  ) is a common Tagalog form of typing online and in texting.
