The number one tip-YOU DON'T TRY. You need a youtube account-start posting videos of your everyday life. Maybe something will be funny and become a meme!
Hope this helps![]()
Please, not everything on the internet is centered on YouTube. Many memes have come from other sources. Anyways, why would I want to make myself vulnerable to creeps?
Wear a mask. Like I always do for my YouTube videos. I have like fifteen of them, including an awesome face with my character's hair.
The whole mask thing is actually pretty dumb.

But it protects your identity. I'm kind of hoping to start a meme with them.

O_O''
I never said Scratch itself got hacked. I said the ST's email got hacked.

This has been expressed before, but I'll say it just to reinforce the idea: you don't deliberately start a meme. They just happen. Now, there's nothing to stop you from making something you think is amusing and posting it online. If other people like it, it might spread and become a meme, but you can't really go campaigning to have one made.

You see, my fail pic was an attempt to discourage you so much, you would stop. It would save you from many forced meme induced rages. Psychology FTW.

I've seen thousands of forced memes that have become popular.
Citation needed.

People start memes by not starting memes.

I have never actually participated in ADD YOUSELF FLYING! or whatever... I feel that they kind of clutter up... One project had a good recommendation to have a remix account seperate from your normal account. I think thats good advice.
If you want to start one, go ahead, but please don't advertise too much as it can be annoying and may be thought of as spam. This is especially so outside of the Show and Tell forums.

-_- I'm not talking about Scratch. I'm talking about the internet itself.

Ok... they usually start automatically... I know a friend who's been misspelling all his stuff on purpose and calling in kat language or something. He even made a small website on it but it never caught on...

I saw a sig once:
Internet: Where you start riots
Riot: How you became a meme

How to make a successful meme:
1. It has to have a purpose (Like when would someone on a forum post it)
2. It has to be hated by 90% of the audience (That's how Rebecca black got so popular)
3. It has to be catchy
4. Or you can just discard everything i said and make a cat video, you can't go wrong with that.

Sounds like lolspeak to me.

Come up with something utterly pointless (Such as this is TDD's fault) and push it until it catches on xD

The reason why it never caught on is because it's already been thought up. For example, like Harakou said, lolspeak was invented already, as is Jejemon. If you're not familiar, Jejemon (not be confused with Pokemon
) is a common Tagalog form of typing online and in texting.

Or put my meme and cats together!
That should work!
