Pecola1, you should consider adding some of this information into the Squeak Tutorial wiki page! We're trying to get people like you to pool their resources on this page!
Yes, I have seen that page needs editing, but can we just put a link to the tutorial index?
That wouldn't be collecting all the information into one place now, would it? Would you be alright with myself perhaps taking parts of the tutorial here and adding them then if you don't want to help the page?

OK. what makes a New Scratcher into a Scratcher?By keeping active on the forums. This may take a moth or so.
A MONTH???

A "moth"
You also need to post projects and make comments, or you could ask for a special exception like with YourLocalBlockLib.

I don't know enough squeak though, so I might just submit an edit request if there's something missing (as I have done. ).OK. you can help with design too, getting the framework set up.
Should I go get the pass? ^^
I definitely think you should.

OK. Months is a long time to wait. If you see this, tell yourselves that i'm gonna report this topic so I can communicate with the moderators directly to ask them for immediate promotion.

Accelerated promotion, even for a worthy cause such as this appears to be, is not something that is granted lightly. Also, any account that is used by more than one person is a greater security risk - in general we try to discourage people from using them. Maybe these sort of "encapsulated knowledge" type topics would be a better fit for the wiki where multiple authors can edit the document?
I'll run your request by some other Team members but I don't think it's too likely.

Yes, it is a very important thing and may not be too likely to happen. But the reason is sincere, we want to help beginners learn Scratch/Squeak. fullmoon said he thought lightnin would do it. And the shared account is just fine by me, only me and pecola1 [maybe scimonster, not sure yet] know the password. We had to make a shared account so pecola1 didn't have to do all the work. In my opinion, the wiki wouldn't work, for many reasons. Since anybody can edit them, it would get all scrambled up and out of control with a topic this big. Also, I don't even think many users visit the wiki too much, i think the forums is the biggest site on here.
And even if it doesn't get past, thanks for considering.

I split your post into paragraphs so it would be easier for me to respond...
2) I don't.
3) Same reason we have a Block Library account, except that it was Sparks with too much work.
4) Oh yeah???
5) Then, people can also help improve.
6) There are 1,767,863 views to the wiki. ;D

3-eggsactly.
4-why not?
5-still holding my opinion.
6-But how many views to the forums?

6) There are more total users on the forums than wiki views... but the wiki is newer!

4-What would be the fun in adding to something somebody already made?
6-Doesn't matter.

4) I mean, "see, a Squeak tutorial was already successful on the wiki!"

4--I don't like it too much. what about the forum users that don't visit the wiki?
Also, I was gonna make 2 topics, one in All About Scratch and one in Advanced Topics, so it wouldn't just be a Squeak tutorial, it would be a Scratch/Squeak Tutorial.

So we'll just convert the BBCode of the forum one to wikicode?

you mean put the entire forum on the wiki? No, we can add anything not in the wiki, and we should make a hyperlink to the entire AT thread.

Yeah, you care so much about the wiki. No, anything NOT in the wiki that is in the AT thread will be added to the wiki. And, since you care so much about it, maybe you can do it.

Hey, scimonster, how did you do the hat block in your sig? I'm thinking about doing that. and later you might want to add this thread.

Joeman592 made the blocks.
And I know BBCode and wikicode well enough to convert it by sight.
And if you have images and/or links, I also have tricks for those. Colors too.
EDIT: 100th post on this topic.
