Oh I just realized that the Scratch team is in America...I am in Australia that means only 2 months being on!
Why does that matter? We have mods around the world!
I have to be 6 months on Scratch...I only joined in april...

What does that have to do with the America/Australia bit, though?

Summer is at a different time of year in the Southern Hemisphere - the elections are stated as "Summer of 2011", meaning Northern Hemisphere summer. Maybe LordSydney thought of it as Southern Hemisphere seasons?

Oh! I'd completely forgotten about that! Thanks for the clarification.

As Wolfie1996 said I wasn't thinking about the hemispheres so I just made my post and realized afterwards. Also I was still a New Scratcher at the time so I couldn't edit my posts.

Or maybe just in the post.
OffTopic: Why don't you have a sig?

Well, if you plan on losing interest in Scratch then will you really be committed to moderating?

Well, I would mod for a certain amount of time then move on, but my interest will probably die if I were to miss this election (and I understand I might not win, but thats another story)

But a good moderator is committed to moderating and committed to Scratch. Of course, everyone will get bored eventually, but if you plan on losing interest in Scratch soon, I don't suggest running for mod.

I think i'll run.
Does anyone think i'd do good?
I go on everyday.

You can't run then unless your birthday is before the election in summer.
Which I don't think is the case.

Yes, you have to be 14 by election day.
You can read more about that here. There are reasons a-plenty, trust me.
More information on moderating can be found here; if you're considering moderating in the future, this is a must-read.

I thought it was that you had to be 14 or older during the election month.
This is where I found that by the way.

I'm fairly certain it's election day, and if I'm not wrong, that page should probably be fixed.

I guess we'll have to check with the Scratch Team about that one.

It was election day originally, but in the Autumn elections, there was quite a lot of not knowing when the elections would be exactly - therefore not knowing the cut-off date. So I asked Lightnin, and he changed it to being by the end of the calendar month (so the last election's age limit cut-off was October 31).
