somelia, think how weird it would be if you went out with him, then later in life, you marry someone else. (Which 99.9999999999999... percent of the time happens), then you remember when you were in fifth grade, DATING A DIFFERENT GUY, its like you left part of you with him. And he left part with you. You need to say NO to him. Tell him your reason and he will see why not to do it too, and if he doesn't respect your reason, then why should you like him in the first place? Don't just tell him 'i'm too young' tell him my example, he should get it. Now you may get older and go to the same collage, and he may still be someone you like, and he likes you, THEN he might ask you out and you can say yes. (And to any boys, don't ask her out before asking your AND the girls parents if its okay.)
lol it doesn't make a difference if you've dated before. Because if you don't date, how will you meet the love of your life? Tell me that.
And that percentage is just a guess.
YOU DATE WHEN YOU CLOSE TO THE AGE YOU MAY GET MARRIED! YOU DON'T DATE AT AGE 11!

It's fifth grade, Pecola. It's to experience dating and learn how it works. Everyone has/has had some type of childhood crush.
Right now, she LIKES him so why not?
And I'm going to go ahead and tell you: it's basically just something for the people at her school to gossip about. (Gets your rep up. *wink* *wink*
) xD It's not like they're going to go to the movies or go for dinner anytime soon.

Our parents aren't even going to let us actually "go out." The moust romantic thing we can actually do is kiss.

So your saying she should do it because later she can give the excuse that she was immature? No, I'm saying if she were to do it, she wouldn't leave part of her with this kid, she'd dismiss it as childhood immaturity. Do you really think she would still like him 10 years from now?
No, thats why she shouldn't waste her life.
It would give her experience at an early age.
