Re: Beta Flash player

It's much better & flexible  big_smile , but I hate it when the moved sprites have to turn back again & the music is still working. I feel this might cause a bug on a continuous sound track. 9/10.

Re: Beta Flash player

Hi.  I am back.  The flash player fixed all of the bugs except for 2:

1.  If you have a game that you control a character, pressing 3 arrow keys over and over again will make the character go off of the screen temporarily.
2.  Human ERROR.

The second one is not really a bug though.

Re: Beta Flash player

it's not *better* YET. except for recieving input. In the java version, for instance, the When (Key Pressed) block would make a choppy way to do movement. So to make it smoother, most people would simply go in a forever loop and say {if UP arrow Is pressed then change Y by 15} as opposed to the When (up arrow) Key pressed change Y by 15
But in the new flash player it is much smoother at recieving input.

Re: Beta Flash player

par example:

compare this project (or any others using this technique of movement) Java and Flash, in addition, the rendering of the Pac Man is smoother in the Flash player.

Re: Beta Flash player

i found the flash player a lot faster than the java one... And this is a very important feature for users located in countries where internet is not as fast as in the US or Europe.  I am in Uganda, and this is a big concern...

Re: Beta Flash player

Although the flash player is superior to java, and excellent, here are a few glitches that I have noticed, they may have already been solved but I don't think so.
1. It registers the flag click as a mouse click, which can be a problem in games with limited clicks
2. It seems to think that zero is nothing, and not a number or a letter
Other than that it works amazingly!

Re: Beta Flash player

How do you embed the Flash player as an applet? I got the .swf file on my hard drive.

Re: Beta Flash player

THIS PROJECT

The pieces don't align to the grid like they do when downloaded. This also happens on the java version.

Re: Beta Flash player

The flash player lags a lot less than the java version. the flash version also has fullscreen. I really think the flash player is better than the java one.

Re: Beta Flash player

great - just the full screen mode doesnt work. i have IE9, Flash Player 10.3.xx.xx, Windows 7 32 bit. dont know if the information helps, but i hope it does and hope you can get full screen working properly for all browsers, OS's and Flash Player versions.

Re: Beta Flash player

Have y'all thought about making the flash player available to non-members, too? Whenever I try to show projects to my friends, they can't view them because they don't have Java. i.e. Flash is on most computers.

Re: Beta Flash player

It's ok, but when you make a game where a ball or object bounces on a platform sometimes the object goes right through the platform. Overall it's good though, if I were to rate it in faces I would give it a  hmm .

Re: Beta Flash player

I hope that the Fash player can also downloaded to our computer. Most of scratch programs in our computer run slow.
I really love this Flash player!
