I say it too. It does the wrong action when I asked it kindly to switch back to the Scratch normal interface. Instead it places the program on fullscreen.

Re: Mod Share 2 Old Thread

Dear Billybob-Mario,

Your request has been denied. I think BYOB perfectly satisfies the purpose of your mod,  looks neater and is better polished (not mentioning the fact that BYOB actually has a color scheme which doesn't burn your eyes). Therefore, we will not be adding Slash to Mod Share for the time being.

I agree.

Anyway, I don't understand why you didn't do Catch!. It has no BYOB feature, the interface is the same, and... you know.

Well, I just thought that most mods have those blocks.
I tried making a project in Catch, then transferring it to other mods, and I could do it easily.

You can change the color scheme with the new update, and also Slash has MANY blocks that aren't in BYOB.

I don't care to be honest.
You can learn to be original first with the stolen blocks.

Start from Scratch (no pun intended) and make stuff by yourself, then we'll recognize it.
Or else its pretty much a bunch of plagiarism.

Re: Mod Share 2 Old Thread

LS97, could you add Scraft uploading?

It will have a lot of new features, but for now it isn't much, but still.

File type will be .sc

That doesn't matter. We're closing down the old mod share anyway! (Well, we're blocking any further comments, uploads and putting a notice about the new mod share on the front page).

Re: Mod Share 2 Old Thread

Little announcement (with instructions on how to do it):

I have added custom uploading from within mods to Mod Share V2!
To use this feature, the mod has to be a registered mod and send a couple GET variables to the upload page.
The old Bingo 1.3.0 upload page on Mod Share V1 now automatically redirects to the new one, with the arguments already in place.

To add this feature to your mod, you need to send the following arguments:
  mod = the mod you're uploading from (must be a supported mod)
  name = the name of the project you're uploading
  describe = the description (breaks other than <br> will not be recognized)
  path = the path of the saved project which you want to upload
  license (optional) = the license under which you want the project to be under.
to the address http://mod-share.webuda.com/upload/

The user will be able to change any of these settings online before sending in the form to upload.

An example address with the values filled in could be
http://mod-share.webuda.com/upload/?mod=bingo&name=Mod Share&describe=Hello world!&path=C:\Users\Smith\Desktop\Hi.bingo&license=public

I might post some example squeak upload dialog in the future, but all you need from Squeak really is a ScratchPlugin primOpenURL: 'modshareaddressfilledin'.

With pleasure!
All I did was put this PHP code:

Code:

// Project preview
            echo "<h3>Project Preview</h3>";
            echo "<em>Note: most added blocks are not supported on this player. Download for full experience!</em>";
            echo "<object width=\"483\" height=\"387\" type=\"application/x-shockwave-flash\" data=\"../player/PlayerOnly.swf\"><param name=\"allowScriptAccess\" value=\"sameDomain\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><param name=\"flashvars\" value=\"project=" . "../upload/" . $tid . "/" . $path . "\"></object>";
            // End project preview

That turns out to be this code in HTML:

Code:

<h3>Project Preview</h3>
<em>Note: most added blocks are not supported on this player. Download for full experience!</em>
<object width="483" height="387" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="../player/PlayerOnly.swf"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="flashvars" value="project=../upload/11-05-07_21-21-43/Codename- Laughter.sb"></object>

You can specify whatever value's needed for the project parameter, but it must be an existing file and it must be in the same domain (as the parameter sameDomain suggests).

Nothing else is needed for basic play, and you can still go fullscreen by shift-clicking the fullscreen button. Of course, it's pretty glitchy, so to disable that you can change the paramter 'allowFullScreen' to 'false'.

That's it, I didn't do anything else to get it working.

I just figured out what I was doing wrong.  tongue  I was trying to make it work in just an HTML file on my computer with the flash player and a project which never worked. Then I tryed moving it to my server and... Tada! It works perfectly. Go figure.
