I'm in this group called Mana Siphon. It isn't a band. It writes lyrics and tunes and gives them to Falling Fury, which is a wannabe band.
We do really dark songs.
Some of our songs:
-Death's Coming
-Melody of the Bleeding
-Perish Song(I told them not to use that name, but nooo)
-Hyperactive Murder
-Apocalypse IV
-Breaking my Heart
I'll put the lyrics for Breaking my Heart(the song I like the most and therefore most confident to share about) in the next post.
PS:I love your songs, sanddude! Was the minion one based on Despicable Me?

Lyrics for Breaking my Heart:
[Slow build up of background music which gets more and more intense]
My mind's torn asunder
I can't think or move
My secrets you plunder
What are you trying to prove?
[sad melody]
My head's splitting open
My sorrow spilling open
My windpipe you're choking
My blood splattered all about
Chorus
Cause you're breaking my heart,
Your eating my soul
You'll tear me apart
But you won't let me go...
I'm drowning in my pain
But you'll kill me again
I don't even know why
No matter how I try...
Endless agony
This is a tragedy
Eternal sea I'm trapped in
Forever I can't win, win, win.....
Cause you're breaking my heart,
Your eating my soul
You'll tear me apart
But you won't let me go...
I'd rather you had knives
Fire and steel nails
I have a million lives
But my escapes always fail...
[softer, mourning tone]
I can't run and I can't hide
You're destroying me from inside
My torment will never end
And my wounds will never mend
Oh...
[fade out]
It sucks without the rhytm >_<

Well, sort of. It's not specifically written about Despicable Me, but Despicable Me started the whole minion obsession thing which led to the song.

I'd love to be your bassist but I'm probably a few years and miles younger and away from you.
I'm still working on music with my band that consists of my brothers on guitar and drums, me on bass, and today we found a neighborhood through a path in the woods and found a second guitarist.
I started writing a song, and the chorus of that song is the verse of the new song.
The chorus of the new song was when we were looking through our old computer and found some of my older brother's recordings from when he was in fourth grade. He wrote stupid songs with no instrumentals. We found one called "Fruit Roll-Up," and the lyrics were terrible but the melody was incredibly catchy. Here are the original lyrics which we WILL change:
midnightleopard wrote:
CHORUS:
Oh my gawwwwwdd
Now my tounge tastes
just like a fruit roll-up
and the fruit roll-up tastes good.
And the fruit roll-up tastes good.
We have some work to do...

I actually thought I'd be younger then you. See, I'm almost 11.
And yes, you do have some work to do.

Your songs are pretty decent.

The 'mature' songs don't really seem all that mature

Their not that mature, but they aren't necessarily specifically mature.
My bad I was looking at helltank's song and thought it was one of yours

No worries.
If I wrote those lyrics, my mom would rush me to a mental hospital. =P So, helltank has lived up to his claim that he has very dark lyrics.

Sounds sort of like an insult here...are you saying that helltank should seek treatment of some kind?

Nice man!
I'm almost twelve (a few months, maybe.) 5th or sixth grade?

Not intended, I see that what he means is that his parents aren't used to him being cold or dark in his writing.

i know what it means (i looked it up in my dictionary)
i was asking what kind of name it is, not what kind of word it is
i don't see how "consisting of, or relating to fossils" is relevant to his band and i am curious to know why they chose that name

It was originally Diatomaecous Earth, which is a scientific chemical, but that name was already taken, so we dropped the "earth".
