This is proof that the trumpet is superior.
You need just one mouthpiece and you're set for life.

You need constant reeds though. One mouthpiece, nothing else, done, for us.

Taking your point seriously, technically, you can play the trumpet with just the mouthpiece. We have to do that sometimes. You can play all the notes, it's just more difficult and more wheezy sounding.
Can you do that with an oboe? (Not a sarcastic question)

I don't play oboe lol.
But you can take the mouthpiece and a short neck piece off a clarinet and play a high pitched but changeable note.

Percussionist at my school includes snare, bass, that one rock stars play with all of them, triangle, cymbals. And more.
But those are drums to be played individually, I assume. Real drummers play them all coordinately at the same time ;P
What? It's a percussionist. I don't get how it's "fake" unless you say they have talent.
And i said about the rock start combo thing, those are coordinately.
Yeah, was talking about talent mostly, if you play well of course.

Ah, but can you gliss? I mean gliss for real, not that weird valve-y thing.
GO Trombones! No reeds, plus glissandos!
You can play it with only a mouthpiece, or everything but the mouthpiece. You can play it with only the slide. You can play it with everything but the slide, but that kind of defeats the purpose of trombone, eh?

Wow. I use to keep a drawer full of juice-box straws. I kept them for years, but then my mom decided that I could actually USE the drawer for something, and dumped them.

i never let people touch my drum set
if they even look at it like they want to play it, i'll yell at them
probably because a few years back i broke my sister's drum set so i've been careful about letting people use mine
also i don't even know what a reed is
i play the cello

I know a drummer and he does a lot more than "tap on wood" lots of people can't even move their hands that fast...but the saxophone is the best instrument of all.

It's not fast hands, they let their hands bounce.
