Gray Screen With X

I think it might be my computer but I cant view projects on the one im using. A Gray screen with a red x appears on the top left corner. Can someone tell me how to fix it?

I would test your java installation first.  Go to www.java.com and click on the "Do I have Java?" link and run the test there.

John figured out the problem based on your feedback and is going to fix the player. The player right now only works with Java 1.5 and some of us have 1.4.

Lanie, in general, it is a good idea to have your Java up to date. You can download the latest from www.java.com

Hi, all.

The problem was that v28 of the player required Java 1.5, but some folks still have Java 1.4. It's now fixed. You may need to quit and restart you browser to get the new version. If you used to be able to view Scratch projects, you should be able to again without updating your Java.
