I 100% agree. it shouldn't be based on money but on time played. also it'll just get easier when we add the turret so you're right!

Yeah, I suppose... though money should have a slight influence too; think about the special move, for example

I'm not updating. I work slow and there's a deadline.

How convenient xP Do some minor improvements or something -_-

You're in the collab - you might as well do something, no matter how small -_- If anything, you should have updated earlier when you had the time...
...
Since no one (besides Chris) said anything about my suggestion to create a list of things to do, I'm going to create the list right now:
A way to end the game (and you should be able to continue on)
The special attack
The stop button
Tell me if I missed something
...
I fixed a bug with the clearing of fireball impact markings - latest version of Dragon Defense

I think PWF is working on the turret...
I will get the Special...

Wheeee
Make sure you don't 'override' each other's updates
Uh... will the Stop button do Stop All, or will it take the player back to the main menu?

I thought it already did stop all...

The project kept on going for me...

We should have levels. Or "goals" at least.
Like "Kill 10 peasants to go on"
Or levels would be like swarms come on.

Im uploading. It has kill this many blah's instead of money based. But archer worked when the knight wouldn't show after met criteria. Anyone fix?

BUMP!
It IS uploaded.

I'm sorry to say it - no one likes having their work criticized - but I don't like the new system in Dragon Defense. It gives too much of a goal - I preferred it where the player was free to do whatever they wanted.
Sorry ^^ :3
This is just my opinion though; I'd like to see everyone else's.
EDIT: Quoting the post below this:

The goal was to get enough money to escape, remember? Not to kill tons of enemies...
Exactly... well, I don't think we were going with the idea of flying to the Dragon Home Planet, but still...

Sorry, but I don't really like it Before it was like a continuous ongoing defense game that increased gradually, but the new system seems like it's a 'do this and that' thing; the goal was to get enough money to escape, remember? Not to kill tons of enemies...

The special move, the stop button and a way to end the game needs to be implemented... and I think we all agreed on being able to continue playing after you've won.
What's the criteria for winning? I recommend 3000 money - but I'll play Dragon Defense later and see if that works
We also need to decide on the ending... how about spending the 3000 (I'm assuming ) money on an impenetrable barrier? Oh, wait - but then the player wouldn't be able to continue playing
One last thought: When you lose the game (that is, when you reach 0 health), shouldn't that yellow wall thingy be destroyed? And it'd be cool to have the enemies run into the lair, get treasure, and run back out. That'd be rather hard to implement with our current scripts though. How about we simply have something appear saying "Game over"?

Do it.

Really they were never free. They were supposed to get that amount of kills in money

Argh -_-
The Collab Challenge page says: "Revise and submit the final version of the project by March 2". It's already March 1 here in New Zealand -_-
We just don't have the time to finish -_- I'll implement the stop sign, and have a go at the special attack and ending - but I just have no idea how to implement the artillery. The ending will be tricky, too...
I'll see what I can do.

w00t Dragon Defense
Added the special attack (it's a bit cheap but it looks nice anyway), stop button, and fixed some glitches. Also added a Game Over for if you die - TheSaint, could you change the text to whatever the Dragon Defense one is? It'd be really good if you could trace it instead of leaving it to me; we don't have much time.
We still need a way to win the game - eh, to be honest, I don't think it's necessary :S I sort of like Dragon Defense as it is...
But yeah, I think the only things left to do are to change the text in the die message and (maybe) add a way to win the game. I have no idea how to implement the artillery, and I doubt anyone else will be able to add it quickly enough. Artillery would make Dragon Defense too easy anyway
If we're not adding artillery, we'll have to edit it out from the jumpbar.
...
Let's have a vote on implementing a way to win the game or not - this'll help us avoid having to add it
I vote for not adding it; we barely have any time and I sort of like Dragon Defense the way it is.
...
TheSaint, you'll have to upload as soon as you can - it'll be March 1 for you when you read this post, and the deadline is March 2.
:S
Deadlines... always frustrating xD

Okay, I made a version of Dragon Defense where you can win - all you have to do is get 5000 money. It's a really bland win and I don't like it, but just in case we need it...
Alternate Dragon Defense

Hey, we didn't give credit to the music creator O_o

It feels fun like a real game
BTW, I'm fine with no ending, but it does sort of get rid of the whole goal
