To discuss brainwashing in general.

@What-the-Close, but it depends on the context of the brainwashing... for example, in the book it's a cult. They make it hard to quit the cult by making the brainwashee financially dependent on the cult, and feeding them tales of "the devil will get you".

You guessed it! I thought nobody read [book series] nowadays! Still, that little "prank" Rat pulled off on James... maybe we shouldn't post stuff like that on the forums.

Personally I didn't think it was a very good series.
