I think scratch would be so much better we could create 3D projects.3D projects would be so cool. There is only one project that i know of that is 3D.But imagine:a program that lets members create 3D projects without using command prompt. All of you who agree with me,please reply.I also think members should also be able to make mmorpg's.

This is a good idea; many have asked for 3D.
Here's the latest with some other good suggestions like Alice.

The Scratch Team has said "no" to the idea many times. It's not that it's a bad idea, but it would require huge modifications to the Scratch engine. Plus, there's the whole issue of 3D models which usually require you to make them in an external program - so no.
If you want to make 3D games, though, you should definitely take a look at Starlogo TNG and Alice - both are designed specifically for that.

Making full MMORPGs is also unlikely, because the Scratch Team doesn't have the server space for that. However, with Mesh, it's already possible to make Scratch games that can be played over the internet! Mesh is a hidden feature in Scratch which allows two people to connect with the same project. It involves modifying Scratch slightly, but that link shows you how.
Also, the next version of Scratch (Scratch 2.0) is confirmed to have internet features, so multiplayer games aren't unlikely!

They have said no in many places: 1, 2, 3, 4.

This is definitely a popular idea! Many of us are concerned that making Scratch 3D would make it harder for new Scratchers to get started. If you are interested in 3D programming, check out ALICE: http://www.alice.org/

While we can see the coolness factor of 3D, we want to keep Scratch simple. No matter how you slice it, 3D is pretty complex. For those who love 3D Alice, a 3D programming language, is already available! Check it out here: http://alice.org/

Cool idea! However, we do want to be sure that Scratch is easy to use for people who are just starting out with programming. While 3D is cool, it tends to make things a lot more complicated, especially when you are just getting started. So we've decided to focus on 2D in Scratch.

I love how lightnin says the word cool in the beginning of all of those.

Excuse me... um... I found a project that was supposed to be a chatroom. I saw in the comments that you needed something called "mesh" to use it, so I can to the forums to see if I could fing out what it was and how to get it. I clicked the link that hmnwilson posted but it didn't work. Please help? ~Pugster122

Try this guide by Johnathonpb. It pretty much covers everything.
And next time, don't be afraid to make your own topic
