The ultimate paradox :O omgnowai

You just won the game.

Is there any other single paradox so powerful?

The game is a game that you cannot escape once you are informed. Basically, if you are reminded of the game, you lose, but you cannot lose more than once every 30 minutes. Now that you are informed, you are forever a slave to it  smile

If you're not aware of the game, that is possible.

Actually, no. You cannot acknowledge that you won the game without also acknowledging that the game exists, so therefore you are thinking about the game, and you lose.

Re: The ultimate paradox :O omgnowai

Actually it is not a paradox

Because I read it I read the game

You are saying I won the game but because you said the game I lost

Because it is impossible to win it is not a paradox

It is like saying Candlejack makes you-

No, it is a paradox because it's saying you won the game, but by saying that you lose, but according to the sentence you won, but it says the game so you lose, etc.

Re: The ultimate paradox :O omgnowai

Are questions that are paradoxes called "paradox" or something else?

No, it is a paradox because it's saying you won the game, but by saying that you lose, but according to the sentence you won, but it says the game so you lose, etc.

But because it is impossible to win the game that renders the second half of the paradox obsolete

I think they're sophisms.  Mostly because I spoken paradox can be canceled out by untruthfulness, where in a true paradox all given information is true and contradicts itself.

Is this a paradox:

I am good at rhythm games, and I suck at rhythm games.

If both are true, yes.  As I wrote above, the difference between spoken and true paradox is the capacity to lie.

Erm, no. At first it is not a paradox. But then because the sentence says so, there is a contradiction. So it becomes a paradox. Okay, so now it's a paradox. But wait! Now the statement and the actual truth regarding the statement agree. So it's not a paradox. But then you're back at square one, and continue. A statement that infinitely contradicts itself. Same as "This statement is a lie."
