Well 3D is nice, but if you want 3D then maybe try other Pl's (programming languages)
Because if we had 3D then we would have to have 2 sections, scratch 3D and Scratch 2D. then theres the fact that they would have to make scratch up again and everything would get complex.
Scratch is for starters, not pros

For Scratch-like kids programming languages, you might like to try Alice, or StarLogo TNG. Both of these programs use Scratch-style block scripts, and they're in 3D - perhaps they're what you're looking for?
Or, it might be a fun challenge to try and create 3D in Scratch - there's a helpful tutorial here.

Anyone could do it.
But the laaaag.......

I know how to make 3D games in Scratch. It just takes a lot of patience, math, and variables.

But it'll lag.
No matter what. Freaking lack of good loops in scratch.
Fix loops, you've made 3D possible.

No.
Unless your making Pixar quality or something like that, I actually......hate 3-D.
(Well I mean it's okay is professionally design video games and stuff but if it's just a bunch of blocks put together to make a smiley face it's really not worth it.)

It would be interesting, but currently, Scratch couldn't handle it. It's pretty simple to make 3D cubes and things, but beyond that it gets really complicated.
Making 3D models is a lot more difficult than flat sprites - you need tons of polygons, points of movement, textures, not to mention making it all on a 2D screen is really stressful - you get the point.
So no, I don't agree. However, there's plenty of software out there designed for making 3D games. Why not take a look at some of the links Wolfie1996 posted?

I'm making a Scratch mod, and (hopefully) I'll re-write the execution engine to make it faster. This won't exist until late 2011 though.

Thats a cool idea

Also take a look at this wiki article about scratch 3d projects I started.
It is a tough but fun challenge to make 3d in scratch.

If you're complaining you are advanced enough to use a 3d Scratch engine, make a 3d game from the 2d engine. It's possible, Mr. I'madvancedsoIneedamoreadvancedscratchengine.

I think the scratch team has already said no to this idea several times.

yes, this is an idea that has been going around for a looong time. a bad idea at that.

If you want 3D make your own engine and learn real programming >.>

Ok guys, I want to thank you all for the advices. But I wanna mostly thank wolfie1996 for giving me the best advice, first I though the advice was rubbish until I checked out ALICE!!!!!!!!!!! Alice is such a simple programming language which includes 3D!!! So guys TRY ALICE!!! I have just started to program in Alice, if you are good at Scratch i'm sure you will learn Alice easily since Alice is another programming language where you can drag and drop scripts. So remember, if anyone wants to make a 3D game use Alice, if anyone wants to make a 2D game use Scracth!!!!

Scratch is for begginers like me
but 3d would be cool
