Scratch applets to EXE?

Is it possible, or can it be made possible to turn a Scratch applet to a Windows EXE file?

Hi jamie. Currently it is not possible to do that. In what cases would you prefer to have an EXE instead of the applet?

It would just be nice to have the option to "Make an EXE" in the next version of scratch, so when the EXE is opened, it is your Scratch project inside of a window.

Re: Scratch applets to EXE?

Making a scratch program executable is very dependent on the operating system.
The java applet approach currently used for the web pages is a good, but not great, compromise between ease of use and operating system independence (Java is not quite as machine-independent as its proponents claim).

This topic is almost 2 years old. I don't think Scratch2Exe existed then.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
