Re: directions without a sprite to point at?

I do not think it is easily possible with the current version of scratch to point towards a point, but you could have a hidden sprite move to the spot then make the main sprite point towards that.

If you want help I suggest making your own thread for it, also to be honest I do not think you helped him, you just showed him 2 blocks and not how he would use them to do what he was talking about, one of the blocks did not even have anything to do with direction..
(yes that was what i was telling him .....)

O well that sucks thankyou anyway...

It is possible! Try the script in the "Workaround" section of this wiki page. (click on the image to enlarge it)

Re: directions without a sprite to point at?

You could always have the ghost be 100 of a sprite you want it to go to.

Re: directions without a sprite to point at?

without a sprite to "point towards" you're gonna have to do trigonometry which is totally unnecessary!

Follow the advice posted earlier... create a sprite with a single pixel costume, hide it, move it to the position you want to point towards and then point your sprite towards your now invisible sprite  smile

Re: directions without a sprite to point at?

no i am going to do what scmb1 suggested because i need lots of these sprite so if i have a sprite to point to for each it will be overloaded. btw im doing this because i'm doing "spawn points' because there each going to render 10 or so however many they can handle ! and im going to place them around the map so that for every barricade there is a spawn point!
