Soviet Missile Defense Feedback

Yush.  big_smile

I'm in the process of making a sequel, I want ti to be way better than the first. Tell me wat you liked and what you didn't like, etc.  wink

So far, it looks pretty cool. Much better graphics than last time, and the opening will be epic.  big_smile

Re: Soviet Missile Defense Feedback

I think it's awsome. But there is too much time between levels, and not enough planes to shoot down. Other than that, amazing  big_smile

I'm graduating HS this April and going to college in the Fall.

More than one plane onscreen at a time, and have endless levels if possible.

I'm not doing endless levels in the sequel, I'm doing separate missions.  big_smile

But There will be more than one plane on-screen at a time in the second one.  tongue

Very good!
Pros:
Spectactular graphics
Good Gameplay
Lifelike sprites
Cons:
Too easy
One plane?

THere are more pros than cons, and overall, I liked the game.  smile

Re: Soviet Missile Defense Feedback

Okay, some feed back:
pros:
simple set up
easy to play
Lots of potential

Gameplay:
It's okay, but it has some definite areas to improve on, and really starts to feel receptive after a couple planes.

Cons:
Graphics (kinda bland)
Gameplay (compared to other missile defense games)
way to easy
not a lot of options

How to improve:
Have different missiles you can get, each with their own pros and cons
Have a wide variety of enemies, from fighters/suicide drones to ICBMs
Make a fancy HUD, preferably with no screen variables
Upgradeable base
A SAM unit (missile isn't just launched from ground)

Now, this may be a little harsh, you may be intending only to make small scale game, but this has a lot of potential, and I would like to see this made into an epic game.

I did it for the Lolz

Thanks a lot, this has really helped me. I'm working on it now. I've only got one screen variable, it can't be helped. Thanks again for the suggestions.

EDIT: Spelling mistake.

Re: Soviet Missile Defense Feedback

It was a pretty good game! I actually put it in my podcast! It's at scratchcast.libsyn.com, and your game is in episode 4 of the podcast (yes, I know this is kind of shameless advertising)

Back. For now. Maybe.

Re: Soviet Missile Defense Feedback

I think it's too easy, and a big commie disliker (jk that doesn't effect the game). I think if you make the bombers come faster, it would be perfect  big_smile

Great. That's one thing I'm adding: More difficulty, in one way or another.

Upgrades are epic so far.

Re: Soviet Missile Defense Feedback

The first game was great but had some issues;

The background and most of the graphics were very bland, and kind of took a bit off the overall quality of the game. Maybe try varying up the environments?

The difficulty was far too easy, I completed the waves in seconds and never lost any health. Maybe faster and more planes?

A nicer menu system would be great too.

All in all though you had a good game last time, but the sequel could go a whole load better!  big_smile

Yush.

I'm making a beta-testing wave soon, that'll hopefully start next week.

Do you have Wave?
