Hi, Does anyone know how long will I have to stay in this usergroup? It is very limiting...

Thanks in advance.

Re: "New scratcher" Duration?

I don't know an exact time, no one is quite sure. I know it's a pain, but you'll probably get out of it soon, so don't leave the forums now  big_smile

I've taken a long hiatus, but I still visit sometimes. Give me some time to answer any messages you post on my projects!

It varies from 2 weeks to 3 months.

Well, it mostly depends on how helpful and friendly you are, so if you do that it probably won't be as long.

Yep. Be active and friendly on the forums, and your wait should be relatively short.

It's quite hard to be helpful and whatnot if you can't do a whole lot to begin with.

I'm probably going to wait out the 2 months and come back when I can post like a normal person  hmm

Being inactive on the forums for 2 months isn't going to get you upgraded to Scratcher status, sorry. You have to prove yourself!

You have to be continually active for the entire two months? Does that mean Scratcher status is a thing that's applied manually?

This is going to be a looong two months.

At one point, i had 27 posts less than a month ago.
Help new Scratchers and Scratchers with questions every once in a while and you will get promoted!

(I was inactive for seven months, and i was still a new scratcher!  roll  )

@soupoftomato: You are such a liar. You have to be active in the community TOO.

Re: "New scratcher" Duration?

Don't listen to them.

It's two months or some type of glitch got in the system.

It's most definitely manual, not automatic after 2 months (or any other period of time.) And trust me TuffGhost, once you start posting, that time will fly by.  big_smile

Hey Scr1ptr, the duration of the "New Scratcher" association depends on the activity of the new user - simply put, the more active you are on the main site and in the forums (yes, both is required), the more sooner the title will be changed to "Scratcher".  smile

Re: "New scratcher" Duration?

And the wait might be shorter if you help people out and are friendly to the community - while being mean to others might lengthen your wait, perhaps indefinitely.  smile

Just try and be patient for now - when you become a normal Scratcher, you'll feel so awesome!  big_smile
