Cheating the filter is way too easy. I mean, it takes no effort.
So if they did it, flag them.

Thanks. But what do you mean by orl korrect?
When I was trying to refer to changing a background's color on a project, I used the terms "White" and "Black" (for the color).
It wouldn't let me post the comment, because it detected the words.
Shouldn't it be the same for ****?Orl korrect = original meaning of OK. OK or "orl korrect" was a humorous way to say "all correct" in the old days. That's why OK is sort of slang.
It's not proven

But this isn't cheating the filter. They are typing out the actual word without the spam filter stopping them!

They could have used this character, d. Note that this is not a true d, but an alt code variation, so it is a special character.
There are alt codes for all lowercase letters.

You're correct. OK may or may not have originated as orl korrect.

That's wierd...

No innapropriate language is allowed on scratch, so keep on flagging. If you see comments with innapropriate content, too.

EDIT: I forgot to say not censored![]()
Why would "a barrier constructed to contain the flow of water or to keep out the sea" be censored?
its a way of saying [the word we are talking about]

Maybe. I wasn't under the impression that many people knew about that.
But even so, the Scratch Team should fix this if it is the case.

But it's quite difficult to do... Alt codes are almost always a sure-fire way to cheat the filter.

There aren't that many codes. Just update the filters with all of the current words listed again as alt-codes.
Offline
Or just ban the alt character itself, then all alt-codes should cease to function.
Should this be in troubleshooting?

Yeah.
And I thought about putting it in troubleshooting, but it isn't really problems related to Scratch itself. So I thought it would be more fitting in "All About Scratch".

? I'm confused now. I said "beaver dam" as a way of replacing D@$#.

Yeah, but they are two different words, with two different meanings. It wouldn't make sense to fliter "dam" just because some people use it badly. It could be used constructively, too.

Maybe there is some confusion about that word...it's definitely censored on the forums but I'm not sure it is on ScratchR. Let me look into that. Of course, it's always possible to get around the censors, as we all know.

Thanks Paddle2See!

It looks like that word *is* allowed on ScratchR. That's surprising to me. Do you think it should be allowed on the forums?
It should probably be the same on ScratchR and the Forums whatever the rule is. Which do you think makes more sense...censored on both areas or allowed on both areas?
