If I remember correctly, you just have to drag the GIF image from the folder it's in into the Scratch window.

Using the Import button works for me too... oh well, Ur-86, just try drag-and-drop or the import button.

Maybe someone just typed .gif after it but saved it as a different filetype?
You should get the shareware version of GraphicsGale (or get a similar good program), load the .Gif into it, then re-save it as a .gif.
If that doesn't work then I don't know ... maybe the file got corrupted?

I'd try re-saving it anyway. Some files are older versions and may work a little different.
This could be the case with this. If a re-save don't work, then try re-downloading it.
If that don't work I guess you're back to square one.
But it's always best to try everything that you can.
