i've actually never been a fan of class systems, i prefer having one character that can do pretty much anything
so i guess if you wanted a class system you could train one thing (magic, archery, swordsmanship) as opposed to several things.

online is actually going to be separate
it will be more of a fable style game in that it's all based offline, however it will have a separate project that you can import your character into. in this project you could connect with other people online and trade, battle, have clan wars, go to a pvp world or train co operatively.

I work for the scratch company DG Games as both vice president, website manager, programmer, music creator, artist, etc...
also it has some quests based on games created by dg games.
also the founder of dg games (ChaoticD) created a game called DG world. it didn't get very close to completion though and it was much different.
by calling this one DG Worlds, i'm showing that it's bigger and better than just one singular world , and that's where the title comes from.

They could chose their class system to their playing style like if they want to be an archer they work on achery and defence

Well, when/if I get the current version, can I maybe make the "Main Village"?
If I am allowed to make it, wwhat type would it be? An omnidirectional scroller, or 9 sperate "Scratch Squares" that you walk between?
If it's omnidirectional, then would you walk freely (360 degrees) or just Up/Down/Left/Right and diagonnally?

actually it'd probably be easier if i made a really easy way to design maps, how bout i post a simple four way scroller base and you can change the costumes around to make the village! does that sound okay?

okay murpho what I would like you to do is wilderness level 1
it should be a grassy area with trees and a pathway, something where grassy enemies could be.
if you finish that then start working on level 2 of the wilderness, it'll be grassy too but much darker with some dead trees mixed in with the live ones.
and nacholad if you can start working on the village that would be awesome
here is an old dg world beta i posted, it'll have the scrolling used in dg world, so just make 9 platforms and use the beta to test it out
