Vote to join BYOB3 and Scratch 2.0!
Hey, shadow, I want to thank you for your wonderful response to John's "what part of BYOB3 is most useful"! (For those who aren't following this survey, he basically said "all of it.") Your response was eloquent and heartwarming.
not to mention accurate! way to go shadow!
*embarrased* Thanks.
EDIT: First post on 50th page!!!!

2.995.003 bugfix release:

plus some more I forgot just now.
I dont know how many BYOB.images I have. All I know is that it's a lot.

2.995.004 with bugfixes and with a current .changes so you can get into dev mode successfully again.
Also GardenSecret BYOBbed.ypr, the first of a planned series of Scratch sample projects rewritten to use BYOB's capabilities.

Ooo. Are you accepting sample projects from users? If so, what sort of difficulty should they be?

That's a good idea! We'd been thinking about doing it all ourselves. I think all levels of difficulty are okay, but it should be something that really shows off the expressive power of BYOB. It would also be fine to take an old Scratch project of yours and use BYOB to rewrite it more elegantly. (You probably shouldn't do that to someone else's project though.)

I think I'm going to make a project called Gobo trampoline physics...

Ok!

A few things I noticed while creating my project:
-Custom made C-shaped blocks do not automatically wrap around blocks when dragged over a script
-Multiple list watchers on top of each other cause there to be errors in the display
-You cannot select the variable you want in the set [variable] to () or change [variable] by () in the variable pallet
-Right click sensing on the script construction area still doesn't work (I found that alt-click is an alternate option)

Alright. Here it is!

Oh. I forgot a project description!
Press space to make Alonzo jump in this exaggerated trampoline physics project! Don't jump too hard though...

Background drawn in Paddle2See's "Fuzzy Paint" project.
Credit to scmb1's "The Ellipserator" project for the base of my half-ellipse drawing block.
How's that?
I tried to include as many BYOB features as possible, but it didn't turn out to be that many...

Hmm - something about that sample project, something doesn't appear right to me. It might be my version - I have BYOB 2.995.000. One of the scripts looks like this:
Is this something that is a problem? Is it fixed in the newer versions? Or am I reporting this?

Mine is like that too. Although I only have 2.995.000...

Wow! Awesome project!
It's fun to jump, then bounce and jump at the peak to get an even higher jump and stuff And I can see the various BYOB blocks and such that you made.

Thanks! Did it break on you?

What do you mean? It did lag a bit while drawing the the black trampoline line, but that's it.

Clearly you didn't jump high enough... (Fours good bounces in a row should do the trick)

Updated version. This includes the project notes and more realistic layering.

Ugh. I wanted to fix an error in the trampoline graphics (move the bottom half two pixels to the left) but mediafire thinks it's a duplicate (which it really is) and won't let me upload it.

OOOHHHH that's what you meant. Yes that did happen

This is a new version with the fixed graphics and a new feature. Variable adjustment! And of course, it uses a very BYOBish way to do it.

I really want to make a sample project sometime this week, what's the deadline?
Good question. Umm, I think Thursday is about as late as it can reasonably be because we should put together The Release Version Saturday by the latest, and it takes a day or two of emails back and forth for us to make sure all files are the same on all platforms. Wednesday would be even better.
Thanks!
