Re: August Scratchable OFFICIAL Thread

Ooh! My friend and I do comics. Does it have to be Scratch related? If not, you could take one from our website. In exchange for advertising (e.g. "Comic from Octopode.webs.com") and a link in the project notes. If it has to be Scratch related, ignore this whole post.

It does not.

Sounds good! I'll need you to make an ad for your own website though...  smile

That should fit at the bottom of the page.

EDIT: old on, I'll remove the MyBannerMaker and imgur thing. Just give me one sec.

RE-EDIT: Changed it.

Use the ones in the "Octopode Comics" folders. They're better than mine. IDK, there's really a lot to choose from.

Not yet, I haven't had time yet. But I will... If I get enough articles.

Unless I get an article in the next 48 hours, there will be no August edition of Scrachable.

There will only be ads.  tongue   lol

But it's not even August yet.

EDIT: I submitted something, but I can't help with much else because I don't make an OS.

This is probably one of the best stop-motions on Scratch. I think stop-motions go mainly unnoticed, but I think they're really great!

Re: August Scratchable OFFICIAL Thread

I have an article:

Why So many collabs fail
Lets face it. You surf through the collab section of the and only a couple have any posts on them. Only a handful of those actually make a game! Really, what's wrong? You want to be popular on scratch, even on the web (If you use a differant programming language)
but you will never come close until you follow these rules:

-Start with a few members. I asked some people to join my company/collab (Old Town Productions, I know you've never heard of it) at scratch day to join and then soon a lot of people wanted to. No one will want to join a company with nobody else in it.

-Don't leave unfinished projects. People (including me) have a nasty habit of starting a project, not finishing it and starting a new one. That cycle will go others realise your collab is a FAIL.

-Don't get your hopes up. Take baby steps, so don't start a RPG right off the bat. Start with mini games and grow into bigger ones.

-Don't get to cocky. If you are succesful, don't go bragging "We're the best collab in the world" or "You are nothing compared to us." That's bullying. It's okay to advertise though such as "We have top notch graphics, Complex programming, and addicting gameplay." But nobody wants to be around a bragger.

-Make friends! People are far more likely to join a company if the leader is nice to them.
