Mouse as a sprite

what i was thinking was put the mouse on the side with the stage. The mouse has maybe 3 costumes to begin with (regular, putting it between text, and clicking on a link or similar). Maybe you could even do show or hide. Similar to the stage, it will have a lot of scripts missing, like all of the motor blocks and the when (mouse) clicked. I hope thats not too hard!

BlueFire... the best arena shooting game since "bubble tanks".

Re: Mouse as a sprite

You can program this already with a sprite forever going to the mouse pointer, however, you can still see the original mouse pointer. Not a bad idea though.  wink

Re: Mouse as a sprite

How about just hide the mouse and make a sprite follow the mouse coordinates? That is how its usually done.

Re: Mouse as a sprite

Okay, here's my idea. It would look like this:

http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/2397/mousemockup.png

It would have all blocks except all the motion blocks, and the show, hide, and layer blocks in the looks category.

It would make it so you could make custom mouse pointers for your game, or things like  loading cursors for your OS. It would also come with a Mouse Pointers folder with the normal system mouse pointers, and a lot of others that you could use in projects. I support this idea greatly.

Re: Mouse as a sprite

I love this idea! It's really easy to pull off in Flash (for 2.0), too. Some [hide mouse] and [show mouse] command blocks would be nice, too.
