Recently, my friends have been getting tons of commercial trading cards, and some online too, but seriously, you buy a starter pack, you buy a ton of cards, you play with your friend, you realize that the card game you bought wasn't worth the $200+ you spent on it. Can you tell me why everyone is so obsessed with commercial trading card games? I much more preffer trading card games that areHOMEMADE. I don't mean any harm to anyone who enjoys these, I'm just wondering, why it's worth playing commercial trading card games when you can get creative and make your own.

I like making up TCGs
But soupoftomato is right... If you can make full decks and lots of cards, you could give cards to your friends, and they could give them to their friends, and to theirs, you could get a lot of players, and most of them would go to your school, live in your neighborhood, etc.
Or, you could use flash to make a virtual TCG, sort of like what Nexon did with the MapleStory TCG.
or some other program...

I just found it xD Looks pretty cool.
