Re: VariableMan Preview

It is a good idea...

Just one problem. How will they move?

Well then, I think that it is a PERFECT Idea!
Is there going to be a story line?

Eh, I don't know yet. I'm still working out the details. It may just be your standard "Get-to-the-goal" platformer, but I'm not sure. It might be a scroller. I have got to learn scrolling.

Re: VariableMan Preview

Maybe you could do it a bit like ASCII art? Really hard to do, but it would be fun and interesting. I feel like a project was already made like that before...

Well, ASCII art. I guess it could be Variable Art. But ASCII Art is as such:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a3/ASCII_Panzer_unt_Sattelzug.png

So it's art using only computer characters. That's a tank and a truck from Wikipedia.

Well, I'd completely understand if you didn't, given the difficulty there would be when programming it.

It's cool. Just make the platforms more prominent by making them, say, #s. I like it though.

Re: VariableMan Preview

New stage out now! coolstuff, I took your suggestion, but I made them █s instead. I also replaced the goal with a diamond shape, and moved the enemy farther inward. Feedback?

I like that idea! It could slow the project down substantially, though.
