I think Mesh lets Scratch intercat/view the other computer's variables... But I've never used Mesh so I'm not sure.

If you go into Sensors then go to the bottom, if Scratch and another Scratch is connected, click the arrow on ( [Slider] sensor value ) and you should see the variables from the other application.

Mesh is currently a depreciated feature.
You should use the scratchconnections software instead, which works with all versions.
My favourite is chalkmarrow's snyff:

The scratch connections software is python and snyff, Mesh is a built in feature of scratch, which is a plus due to the fact that you can do everything from the same place.

True... however, the only real drawback to snyff is that it only allows two computers to be connected. If you really want native mesh, then you can get it in 1.4 using a hack... However, I am confident that it will come out much more refined in future versions. (I've heard that the next will be 2.0... sounds promising).

so we're going from 1.4, to 2.0? i think not... anyway, if you get BYOB V2 you get the mesh without a hack and the a bility to do so much more!
