So I'm totally going fangirl over this but,
As of today, I can walk into gamestop and actually preorder the game.
The game of which we have absolutely no idea what it is about besides a few hints. (Master sword, older Link)
Nintendo confirmed that it will be released this year.
I keep making new lines.
Sorry.
But you guys, I was just going to give up on video games and getting happy and hyped for them because it almost always gets crushed. Spirit Tracks slapped me and told me that it was not so, and I became happy again. And then FF:CC: The Crystal Bearers charges in and it turns out to not be too great and there goes my happy.
Spirit Tracks was a complete shocker. It was fantastic. I'm hoping (and expecting) ZWii to be awesome as well, since ST was one of the best Zelda games I have played in a while.
Woah, personal rant. Sorry.
Post about this news.
I'm sorry guys but Zelda does this to me always.

Uh... So what's with the mysterious girl in the poster for that Wii Legend of Zelda game?
Is she a Zora? An oversized fairy? Something different?

Did you notice on the other Zelda wii game (Twilight pricess). Link holds the sword in his right hand. On the gamcube version it's the in left like all the others games.

There has been a lot of talk over these subjects ever since the picture was released.
However, I am having a hard time trusting the picture since it was revealed that the Zelda team was unsure of the style of the graphics for ZWii.
This set my train of thought back two years. I'm only nervous about that.
However, I believe strongly that the girl is the spirit of the Master Sword and Link is shown as right handed because that is how the Wii Controller is held.

...The Master Sword is a GIRL?

I hope it'll be a good game. It looks like it should be. I've heard conflicting reports over whether the game will be out this year or next year. Guess we'll find out when the E3 comes around again. If it's really coming out this year, that means that a lot of good games will be out this year, with Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid:Other M and this game. I actually don't even have Twilight Princess yet, but I bought Wind Waker used and downloaded Ocarina of Time off Virtual Console.

Majority, I mean.
But the only problem I have with Nintendo releasing it this year is that it will be grouped with other 'hardcore' games instead of getting its own spotlight in 2011. The other part of me says the sooner the better.
I should stop talking to myself.

I just said that. Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M will be coming out this year, and New Super Mario Bros. Wii is making a huge splash in the Wii gaming world. Zelda Wii may get ignored a bit because of these other games.

I'm actually afraid Other M will be terrible. Being a Metroid fan, I can't bear to think how Team Ninja will kill it. So far it looks like a terrible fighting game instead of an exploration game--what Metroid is supposed to be.

If it's ignored by the majority, it will still get a cuddle from me.
That's a warning.
Run Zelda run.

From the trailer, the graphics look great. I suppose it does look more like a fighting game than an exploration game. However, I've never played a Metroid game. I have Metroid Prime Trilogy, but I haven't played it yet.

PLAY IT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Prime and Echoes I think are the best. Corruption wasn't puzzle-y enough for me.
Prepare to face much frustration in Echoes.
And lots of puzzles in all.
But most of the puzzles in Prime and Echoes.
Well, go ahead and enjoy. They're great.

I kind of liked the trailer, but I've never been a Metroid fan so I won't really be buying it.
Except Samus's voice.
Ew.

I don't think it's going to be "alone" enough. All the other Metroid games before (save Corruption and Fusion) have been thoroughly ALONE. No communication, no whatever.
Samus has never spoken before either, so....

Nintendo likes silent protagonists.
It's why fans are usually dead-set against voice acting.
I simply can't imagine Link speaking. With an actual voice.
When I try, I laugh so hard because my view has been distorted by fans with deep voices who have VA'd for Link in flashes.
And CDi.
Hah.

That's why I almost cried when I saw Metroid Prime 3: Corruption had voice acting xD
I can't imagine Link speaking either.
And I really hated CDi xD

My eyes were bleeding because I watched every Zelda CDi cutscene nonstop.
Ohhhh it was terrible.
IN OTHER NEWS, I am soooo going down to gamestop and preordering ZWii so I can have a thirty minute chat with the people who work there on the game.
I wore a Zelda shirt there once and I was dragged into a conversation on the merchandise. I love those guys.

I haven't played it because I have a bunch of games that I haven't played/still have objectives to complete on, and I'm saving MPT for later because it looks really good. I'm a best-for-last kind of person.

Zelda, Duke Onkled is under attack by the evil forces of Ganon! I'm going to Gamelon to aid him.
