Paint Editor: New Color Picker!

English:

Our current paint editor uses a color picker (spectrum mode) that does not have any "part grey" colors.

Many other programs use editors like this:

http://i47.tinypic.com/1oq1yw.png

Notice that the color fades to grey (gray) as it goes down, and gets darker as it goes to the left. Other colors can be selected, because of the bar on the right.

Like the idea?

Oh, also, the ability to enter a hex code would have some use too!  smile

In Deutsch:

Re: Paint Editor: New Color Picker!

That would be easier but I would like to also be able to customise the defult colours/colors. So I can use the same colour/color in another project.

Re: Paint Editor: New Color Picker!

Geat idea!
If this kind of color picker would be used in the paint editor, I think there should also be [ set pen greyness to ( ) ] and [ change pen greyness by ( ) ]-blocks to use with the other pen-blocks.

Re: Paint Editor: New Color Picker!

great idea! that would allow for much more interesting colors. Only one thing. when you export, it exports as a .gif . Gifs have limited colors, so some of those may not work.

Maybe it can also export into different formats so the transparent background will stay transparent?

I like the idea! It looks easier to find the exact color you want. Also it's good that you translated this post, you are including everyone from the scratch community!  wink  Nice Idea!

Re: Paint Editor: New Color Picker!

This needs to be in the Pen Tool aswell. We have Hue (colour) and Brightness (shade). All that's needed is saturation. And Hex colours (FFFFFF). ...And RGB colour values (255, 255, 255)

I already suggested hex codes, but a better colour picker would be a great thing to have  big_smile

Re: Paint Editor: New Color Picker!

Hex codes could be useful, but don't they already have a color picker? Not exactly the same kind of color picker but....

Even with the sort of color picker, you can't really tell if it's "mixed." Really, it looks blue, or it looks gray.

Re: Paint Editor: New Color Picker!

Even if you can get similar colors (can't you?) with the current color picker, it would be a lot more convenient to get a more exact color. I'm always having trouble trying to get an exact one...

Off topic: How many people say "color" and how many say "colour"?

American English says "color"

But UK English says "colour"
