I saw somewhere, I think on the frozen coco topic that there should be a topic about music production so I created this.
You can discuss the creation of music either on the computer in DAW's like FL Studio, Ableton, etc. and using real instruments and recording into programs such as pro tools and stuff.
I currently have an Akai MPK49 hooked up to FL Studio, with a pair of Sony headphones.
My set up looks like:
And my soundcloud is www.soundcloud.com/mellowkeys
Feel free to ask questions and show your setups, and stuff!

You remembered to add the caret in "agogô" but forgot the diaeresis on "güiro."

My ghettotastic 3rd-world-country-teenager setup:
Hardware:
-An USB "Guitar Link" device. 1 input, 1 output, basically a low-latency ASIO-compatible external sound card.
-Some Sony headphones.
Software:
-REAPER, for recording and mixing, and it's awesome VSTs.
-3rd Bass, bass amp VST.
-FreeAmp 3, guitar amp + effects VST.
(these last two are available for download at Fretted Synth and are awesome.)
-TuxGuitar, to write my songs' scores.
-MadTracker, just to mess with it every now and then.
-Audacity, when REAPER is overkill for sample cutting.
Instruments:
-knockoff P-Bass
-knockoff Strat guitar
-steel and nylon string acoustics
Effect Pedals:
-ZOOM B1X, bass multieffect. Barely use it.
-BEHRINGER UZ400 Ultra Fuzz. It sucks and it's currently disassembled.

I use logic express, fl mobile, and a blue snowball. I also have a guitar and my family has a keyboard but I forget what they're called.
I don't have the hardware with me at the moment so I'll just post a screenshot of logic:

Just gonna say, it's way better having a 49 key than a 25 key. I used to have a 25 key but it was hard to do big ranged chords and progressions.

I have actually read that recently, so I wasn't looking as much for the MPK mini. The other reason I wasn't too sure with the MPK mini was because I'd probably prefer a keyboard that can hook up with midi instead of just a midi controller.
I saw some 30-something keyed keyboards as well and I thought that was interesting.
Oh and microKorg is one of those.

Not sure what you mean by what I bolded, but the mpk series has the default usb port in the back, but also has a midi in/midi out, if you're into that kind of stuff. But thaat red and black microKorg looks super cool.

I just mean a keyboard that has a midi port instead of just it being a midi controller. That way it can be played standalone without it being connected to the computer. Also it has it's own sounds.

Yeah the red and black one looks cool. n_n

Click my signature for my music made completely on Audacity. It's trash.

It's not actually that bad, just not my style :p
my bandcamp is here.
For my music production I use a mic that isn't anywhere near studio quality but that isn't junk. I also use my computer (audacity, ardour) and a pair of headphones.
Woooah you recommended me. I'll recommend you too

No problem, I also have some better music on my SoundCloud.

The closest thing I've done to music production was Garageband and I didn't even use it to it's full potential.

Add a weird maraca thing and a Hohner melodica to my list.
