If we DO go down the HL2 path, This topic will be closed and and a new one will be made. We'll call it Nine-Life(cats supposedly have 9 lives )
If we do NL(Nine-Life),
We will use the current CF(Cat Fortress) Engine, without the classes.
I would say go to NL. Also, I'm making an FPS, so you could potentially use an FPS engine.

Well these ideas do need to be brought up sometimes. I can do math really well but I agree with maxdoss to be honest
