Awesome site, very cool!
My results were very similar to yours, veggie.yeah, i thought it seemed like one of those online polls that actually meant something
and lol wow
we should all grow up right now and vote for jill stein! xDI bet that if someone polled a ton of adults, like less than 20% would know that Jill Stein is even running.
i'd definitely believe that
i think it's kind of sad that the first people will hear of some candidates is on the ballot
i found this article, which is also mentioned on the site the OP linked to, pretty interesting
i wish we weren't such a two-party nation

there's also a really cool test i found called the political compass test which i can't link to due to a few of the questions not really being scratch-appropriate
but if anyone else does look it up and take it and want to see how they compare with me (because i'm cool B))

I really hope Obama wins. (I am a very strong Democrat)
I do think that businesses should be required to provide healthcare and medicare shouldn't be turned into a voucher system. With the current medicare system, people are guaranteed to be able to pay for their insurance. With a voucher system, then people can only get insurance if they are given enough money to pay for whatever is offered in their area.
I don't think that the middle class should have to pay more taxes. I agree with Obama's plan to raise taxes on the rich, rather than Romney's plan to cut taxes on the rich while raising taxes on the middle class. I think those who are lighting cigars with hundred dollar bills should have to pay more taxes than those who make about enough money to survive in today's society.
I also live in one of the major swing states. Political discussion here is really heated for that reason.
The funny part is that where I go to school, it is mostly Republicans, but most of the Democrats are a lot smarter, and it is funny when 2 Democrats are able to out-debate 10 Republicans.

I like that the first post makes a point of quoting sources - I'd like to re-emphasize that. This forum is for discussion of things you have read/watched - not a platform for your long-held and deeply cherished (but possibly groundless) opinions. If you're going to post here, do your homework
Thank you for clearing this up, I really do hope people will civilly debate the issues...
@PonyvilleSlugger, I understand why you're frustrated. Issues over homosexual-rights and other issues don't really play into some of the United State's larger problems, like the continueing fall of the middle class. I just find it disappointing when a socially conservative politician talks about the rights of the individual (rights to guns & smokes) and then talk about the need to "protect traditional values" by banning same-gender marriage and every drug out there, even potentially beneficial ones.
So... Yeah.
Go Obama!
Taxing the now-profitable corporations to pay for the infrastructure and pushing for healthcare reforms needed for a continueing middle class sounds good to me!

I don't much about American politic.
Heck, I don't know much about politic about my country.

I personally prefer Romney, Obama's policies haven't really worked out. People might say that Obama became president at a bad time, and he's trying to fix the economy, but he's had almost four years and the economy hasn't improved.
Obama is all for free hand outs and is giving the working class' money to poor people. I don't have a problem with that, I have a problem with perfectly healthy people not working and recieving our tax money.
Not to mention when our Ambassador and two Navy SEALs got killed in Libya, he blamed it on a Youtube video that was released in like, July, when it was pretty obvious they attacked because it was 9/11. The Democrats said it was a spontaneous attack, when the attackers had anti-aircraft guns. People don't go walking around with that kind of stuff in their pockets. There was virtually no protection on that day, even though the smart thing would have been putting alot of protection because it was 9/11.

Four years really isn't a long time
It may seem like it is to younger people but I think he's lived almost 10x that
And to fix the biggest recession since the Great Depression is hard!!

yeah
i don't think most people do this, i think they actually try
but a lot of the times they're unsuccessful so what are they supposed to then
and yes i know that some people do do that but if it was taken away it would be making the majority suffer for what a minority does

They did it because it was 9/11, that's what I'm trying to say. And this is from the article: "They had not reinforced the U.S. diplomatic outpost there to meet strict safety standards for government buildings overseas. Nor had they posted a U.S. Marine detachment, as at other diplomatic sites in high-threat regions."

just because you're a kid doesn't mean you're not a person (no matter what some establishments may have you believe)
i believe people should care about politics because it decides how the world is going and you still can make a difference by spreading your opinion
and i'm fairly certain that you can care about both my little pony and politics (and i'm not entirely sure how that's relevant)
