When I record sound, an error message pops up. I use a file for Scratch since it didn't install on my computer... I wanted to record a song but I couldn't so instead, I downloaded a mp3 file and tried to import it. It didn't work... How can I import the song? Do I need to get a different type of file?

And neither do the .mp3 files. Just Windows sound effects.

MP3's work for macs- just drag the file into the sounds section and it'll convert it.

You can use an audio editor such as Audacity (which is free) to
convert many sound file formats to uncompressed WAV.
Here is where you can find Audacity:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
