This isn't going to happen.
This feature was added to prevent spamming for a high post count. The scratch said the reason why the didn't hide them entirely was so you could see how experience a user may be. A user with 1000+ is experienced enough, so adding higher would make users try for them, which defeats the objective.

Well, you could put something like "I have 1376 posts (updated 8/16/2012)" in your sig if you want everyone to see.
If more milestones ARE added, I think there should only be 2000+, and maybe 3000+.
