On a platformer, if the ground color is black and the clouds are grey, will setting the ghost effect to 99 on the clouds make the character fall through the ground if the clouds cover up the ground?

I think so! I've seen that happen before! Try instead of touching color just try making it if sprite touching [bla bla bla cloud this] or [bla bla bla cloud that] I hope it helps! Thanks! ~Ryan Robbins

Then, I would have an immense amount of sprites (100 or so). Any others? And should I download BYOB?

Maybe. Go try downloading BYOB and see what happens. Thanks! ~Ryan Robbins

Like the idea of this thread...
BYOB is just Build Your Own Blocks. Nothing to do with scripts.

Try set color effect to 30 and set fisheye effect to 15. I hope it helps! Thanks! ~Ryan Robbins

Perhaps you can be more helpful yourself...can you explain why you don't think that response was helpful? Criticism is more effective if you can do it constructively

Okay, then.
First of all, firedrake needs to find how to script a cloud, and BYOb won't help with that.

Actually, no. I need to know if the cloud changes the color-sensing.

Only if the are in front of the terrain will it affect the sensing.

Hmmm... I have an idea, then.

If I'm making a game that scrolls with scrollX and scrollY, AND using velocity should I reverse the jump script as well as the movement? As in, make everything negative if it's positive, and positive if it's negative.

Correct, unless you choose to add a ( ) * (-1) behind the scroll script.

This is turning into a random script-help-chat place, and ryan-robbins hasn't said anything since the first few posts.... back on topic.

isnt the point of this whole forum to get scripting help? i dont think its necessary to have a scripting help topic inside a forum that is meant for exactly that. i mean thats like having a library inside a library

Although we're glad to see people offering their skills to Scratchers in need, there's a topic here that is designated for offering help - perhaps you can post there instead?
