So, what do people want to know about Scratch 2.0 that was not already published in an earlier blog post, or on the Scratch 2.0 FAQ? One or two popular requests could be in the next blog post! So, start voting today!
This post will be collaboratively written by 2.0 testers and the Scratch Team.

Is there going to be both a Scratch 2.0 download version, and online? Or just online? (P.S, could I also help write the blog post. I doubt you guys will pick me, it just seems like an interesting opportunity to do.)

That's already in the FAQ. Yes, there will be a downloadable version.

I think they already cleared that there was going to be a 2.0 download...

What's the deal on secure cloud variables? Planned?

It is planned, that's what Lightnin said.

Apparently there probably won't be now. sdg1 said it was because someone could do
if <(username)=[someone]> be horrible else be nice endWill we be forced to work with vector graphics or will we have an option not to?

Yes, but I could also post a project right now with some bad stuff that would be seem by quite a few people.
My point is, there will be flaws and "hacks" for everything, so you can't stop it, you just have to minimize it and create a system for quickly checking and hiding these things.

Yeah but that makes the project inappropriate, and it should be flagged.

That's always a problem with mobile/touch devices. Won't fullscreen in zoomed out mode work though?

sdg1 gave an update on Scratch Suggestions:

We are implementing a user-id block instead, which would give you a unique number for a logged in user. This number depends on the user and the project, so users will have different numbers for different projects, but you can be sure that a user revisiting a project will always have the same user-id. Non logged in users will always get the value 0.
My Questions:
Will cloud data refresh rates get better? And what about cloud data censoring/locking?

There won't be a username sensor, they are making a user id block. When a user runs a project, they get an ID. If they view that project again, they get the same ID. A user's ID for a project is different for every project they view. A guest will get '0'.

What about cloud-variable security features? (i.e., "locked" cloud variables)

The issue about the ID, is that, what if there was a high score list?
Someone could enter a fake username.

I have a couple of questions for you:
1) How is the performance of the new flash player compared to the flash player you have in beta on the main site? (I ask because during the open alpha you had, I noticed that the alpha player was significantly slower than the beta player.)
2) Have you addressed all of the concerns posted during the open alpha period?
3) What kinds of new string manipulation blocks can we expect?
4) I understand that we will have the ability to define functions, do these functions have the ability to return values?
Can the function blocks be called recursively?
Do they have local variables (local to the function instance)?
5) Will we have the ability to export our project in a flash format (swf)?
6) Will we have blocks to control turbo mode? Or, at least have a way to mark a project as only running in turbo mode (or non-turbo mode) if required?
7) How is the performance of the block editor? (Please tell me that it is faster than 1.4. )
8) Will we ever get a "sort list" block so that we can quickly put a list in alpha/numerical order?
9) Have you implemented any of the top voted suggestions on the suggestion site?
10) When can we see it again?

No, you'd use a username reporter.

Will we have to download a decompiler to mod it?

Will there be a HTML5 player?

That's already been confirmed by the ST. They'll work on that after finishing 2.0 I believe.
