I actually took a smooth black rock from a planter in the mall today for this, but some nearby lady looked at me in shock, so I felt guilty and threw it back before we left

Also, those considering having, please check yourself: according to multiple professionals "Love, care, and patience" are necessities in order to properly care for your pet rock. If you can't provide those needs, don't buy one.

you dont need to buy anything, and personally i got a pet rock since it actually needs no taking care of :P
